YIDFF Friday Theater: "311 Film Archive Selection: Hirata Junko works" (Aug 19)

Hirata Junko, director of TV documentary production Telecom Staff, has frequently visited Tohoku region for some years since before the 3.11 disaster happened and made impressive documentaries about the reality in the affected area. In commemoration of the recent registration of her 2014 documentary Fukushima's Inexpressible Voices in our Archive, we will screen the work at the YIDFF Friday Theater on Aug 19, together with her another 2011 piece Nanyadoyara. Please come to join us and listen to touching poems recited by Fukushima-based poet Oikawa Shunya in Fukushima's Inexpressible Voices.
