The internal region of Sendai City, the place I live, fell into confusion when fuel, food, and other daily resources went out of stock in the aftermath of the earthquake. "How you survived the March 11?" has interviews with my friends in Sendai explaining how they acted on March 11th. Each of them faced disasters of their own. They tell the viewer details of the main incident and also about how they acted individually. They express the hardships they went through and how difficult it was for them to accept the situation. After hearing other's stories, they were able to understand that everyone faced similar struggles. After watching this film, I hope you take the time to discuss this with your family and friends.

| Director's Bio/Filmography | Born in Sendai City in 1980. Takano runs a construction company. While working as a volunteer for the recovery effort, he began recording the damage afflicted area and subsequent recovery effort after the Great East Japan Earthquake hit Sendai. Since 2012, he has been hosting "koe cinema" (voice cinema), which offers opportunities for the screening of disaster record images and crosstalk. He recently started recording everyday events of his locals whom he frequented during the recovery effort. |
