The film combines images of documentary and fiction, which can be called even as fictional documentary. In 1981, Japanese lady Kyoko Onishi arrived in Europe to teach her unique orientral medicinal cooking 'yakuzen' on the basis of macrobiotics. She has been fascinated with the physical and mental influence caused by food. She has long taught that food helps us change our lives. She travels Belgium, the Netherlands and France to hold workshops and give care to the sick. The story leads us to think about the fundamentals of the primitive activity of 'eating' through her rituals and varied cuisine set on the table.
After a nuclear disaster happened in Fukushima, she has given classes about how we can confront radioactive contamination. In the age of rapid change, she gropes for a new way of living for the future, just as the rest of the world does. Featuring food as a main subject, this film finally ends with the problem of civilization.
